Catch Up!

It has been awhile since I last spent a few minutes on this blog! I started working on my summer vacation, and I got about half-way, but I haven't ever had time to return and finish it! So maybe by next summer I will get that posted! : ) I have 2 mores weeks of this fall semester...it has gone so so fast! I can't believe that the end is coming! My classes are going really well. I really enjoy all of them. I have all Education classes plus a couple English classes. My favorite class this semester is my most difficult class....Special Education. I have learned all the different laws and cases concerning disabilities. I have learned so much, and I love it! I am still working in the Admissions Office and I still love it. The people are different this semester so of course it is different, but it is still fun! Piano lessons are also going great. I have 10 students this year and it is just the perfect number!

I have been keeping a "Tender Mercies" journal this semester and I have decided that for next semester I am going to try and do a summary of my list at the end of every week in this blog...we will see how faithful I can be!

As always, I know how to have fun and I love all of my friends! Here are a few pictures of our shaving cream fight....

Ashley and I also took a quick Sunday trip to Mesa Falls....beautiful!

In September, BYU-Idaho had a Temple-to-Temple relay race...so of course we ran in it! We each ran about 4-5 miles...it was so much fun! Here is our team!

Summer is FINALLY here!

Spring semester ended the last week of July so my few weeks of summer are here! School ended wonderfully! I passed all my State Literacy Exams and did really well in all my classes. It was hard to say goodbye to friends that graduated that I may never see again, but thats why technology is so great...we can always stay in touch!

Ashley Storey and I have been working on a bucket list and we are slowly chipping away at the many things we want to do while still at BYU-Idaho! Here are pictures of a few of the fun activities!?!

Hike "R" Mountain to see the sunrise

Eat dinner at Chiz's

Sleep on the TRAMPOLINE

What a Joy!

Life is wonderful! I have four more weeks of Spring Semester! It's hard to believe how fast time flies when I'm busy and having fun! My classes this semester are not as enjoyable as I would have hoped, but I still like them! For the first time in my life I used an education term around my friends that no one knew expect me! It made me feel extremely smart.....or just plain DORKY!?!

I am working in the Admissions Office and LOVE every minute of it! I get to work with my best buds Ashley Storey and Amanda Speth! Oh how much fun we have! The people in that office are great and I am going to miss it when my BYU-Idaho experience ends!

I am playing competitive tennis this semester and its not as great as last year, but its tennis so I still LOVE it! I am trying to lose some of my SUPER competitive spirit, but sometimes I just like to WIN!?! Imagine that! It has been fun to meet new people and learn how to get along with new personalities!

I have pictures coming soon....Ashley and I are working on our BYU-Idaho Bucket List so pictures will be posted soon!

Roommate Fun!?!

As my roommate (Ashley Storey) and I were getting ready for bed one night, we had some memories of Elementary School! So...we decided to do our hair the way our mothers did our hair for Elementary School pictures! To say the least we had tons and tons of fun! Ashley is amazing and we always have a blast together!

Happiness!

Life is fabulous! The busier it gets, the better it gets! I am still trying to juggle school, work, piano, and a church calling, but it is so much fun. I am really enjoying my classes. Right now I have a bunch of big projects/lessons that I am working on and then when I finish, the semester will really slow down for me...I hope! I am doing my Early Field experience in St. Anthony and it is so much fun! The kids are great! I get to go out to recess with them on Monday's and they have so much energy! It is great to get to go outside and play with them. I am learning a lot from my cooperating teacher. A lot of do's as well as a lot of don'ts, or ways that I don't want to run my classroom. It has been a great experience. All of my other classes are going well and I am really enjoying what I am learning. I am still teaching my 12 piano students and we have tons of fun each and every week. They have started learning their festival pieces so that is fun to see them progressing on those pieces. They are the highlight of my week (even at 6:30 in the morning)! I love my job in the Admissions Office! Overall, I love my life and continue to enjoy each and every minute of every day!

January 2009

This month has been so crazy, but great! School started on the seventh of January and I really enjoy my classes! They all are pertaining to my major so I am glad that I enjoy them so much. I am taking Music Methods, Social Studies Methods, Geometry, Motivation Management, Literacy, and I am also doing my Early Field Experience where I spend three hours a week in an elementary school classroom. I am located in St. Anthony so I drive a carpool there twice a week, but it is lots of fun! I am learning so many new things! I am working in the Admissions Office on campus and it is so fun! The people I work with are great and I really enjoy the atmosphere there. I also am teaching piano; I have twelve students and teaching is one of the highlights of my week. The kids are so much fun and I love talking to them and sharing my love for music with them. I am living in La Jolla with some friends and it has been lots of fun. It is very different than living at home, but I am enjoying it. I am still the Relief Society President and that is lots of work, but I have made so many changes in my life for the better because of what I have learned in this calling. I am so grateful that I have been able to learn all that I have!

America!

Overall, the trip was amazing! I loved every minute of it! By the last few days I was ready to come home to my bed and homemade food, but I have a new love for traveling! I would love to return someday. I am already saving to make a trip back to England during Wimbledon so I can watch a real match this time!
